How to Find Us
Directions:
From M4 Jct 11 - Go south on the A33 towards Basingstoke, through the extensive road works. After about 600m, at the new traffic lights, turn right into Mereoak Lane and then immedialtely right again, following the signs to Pingewood and the Copthorne Hotel. Follow the road through all the twists and turns for 3 miles, over the M4, over the old railway bridge (width restriction here of 6' 6"), past the Copthorne Hotel. About ½ mile past the Copthorne, turn right into Searles Farm Lane and the Island Sailing Club is the first gate on the right.
From Basingstoke - Take A33 towards Reading. In the roadworks on the A33 approaching the M4, turn left into the new Mereoak Lane at the traffic lights and then immedialtely right, following the signs to Pingewood and the Copthorne Hotel. Follow the road through all the twists and turns for 3 miles, over the M4, over the old railway bridge (width restriction here of 6' 6"), past the Copthorne Hotel. About ½ mile past the Copthorne, turn right into Searles Farm Lane and the Island Sailing Club is the first gate on the right.
Note that the map below shows the old roundabout at 3 Mile Cross. The new roundabout and hence the turn into Mereoak Lane, is about 300m further south towards Basingstoke.
From M4 Jct 12 - Follow the A4 into Reading for 2.0 miles until you reach some traffic lights and "The George and Dragon" pub on your left. At the lights, filter right into Burghfield Rd and follow it into the country, past "The Peter Pan" cafe. After you leave the 30mph limit you will see a left turn signed "Pingewood" and "Berry's Lane". Follow this road for about half a mile and Searles Farm Lane will be found on the left, the Island Sailing Club is the first gate on the right.
